weekends off/ramblings

Saturday,4 February 2006

weekends off, is that not so cool? since beginning my new career as a reservation sales agent, the only time i had weekends off was during vacation. so this is very good. i have only been at the company for a little over a year, but i am confident that i will be there for a long time to come. i am nothing if not loyal.

i have had a few different jobs in my working life. i’d have to say that this is both easy and hard. once i knew the policies and the job itself, it is easier (on a daily basis is can be challenging).

and i do like my job very much. i would have to say that in general it is one of the better jobs i have held. i’m earning rewards in better shift choices, and the benefits of this company are awesome. i have never enjoyed 2 weeks of paid vacation time nor have i ever had medical benefits like these. it is a very good company.

other employment i have had inlcuded owning my own house cleaning company. i had a wide range of private clientelle and the choicest of homes to clean. i did a good job too. there is something to taking pride in ones’ work that is extremely satisfying. a good name spreads just as fast as a bad one, so why not let it be good? due to health and personal reasons, i had to stop cleaning on a regular basis, and find a new career.

my number one choice for a career would have to be writing. i enrolled in a course, but that has been on the back burner for a couple of years. these blogs are going to get me back in the habit of writing, and who knows, perhaps someone of influence may see that i do have what it takes to make it in the big leagues. or maybe this is just a place to vent. either way, it is good practice for me.
